Bacilli was founded in 2016 by Amálie and David Balcar. They started with a market stand on Prague's riverbank, where the first Bacilli lemonade was sold. Today every drink is made in their own plant in Bavoryně near Prague – they even make the raspberry purée and press the ginger themselves. The drinks are organic, fermented with lactic or kombucha cultures, free from flavourings and sweetened only with organic apple juice.
